Hi everyone! I'm really excited because the other day I got an e-mail from Nissan saying that I had an order date estimate, April 2011!
I was hoping for an early estimate, but I was still surprised. It may not hold, but I have a good feeling it will. After I got my date, I was able to schedule a date
to install the charge station. My original assessment price was about $2500 for everything, but a few months ago AV reduced it to about $2000. I'm a bit sad that
the tax incentive has been reduced to 30% for the charge station, but $600 is still something. I was thinking about leasing it, but when all is said and done I think
it was better to just buy it out right since I have enough money. I'm going to have it installed on March 10th, a day before my birthday, and then all I have to do
is wait for the vin number. Then about 2 weeks after I get that the car should be ready.
I'm still thinking about whether I will sell my prius or trade it in. I'll definitely see what Carmax will give me because I liked buying the car from them and they seem
to give a fair value for the car.
Anyway, I can't believe I may not have to wait till June! woot! I hope everyone else is having fun with this process.
